After dropping out of college, she takes a temp job through Happy Time Temporary Services. Georgia Lass is aloof and emotionally distant from her family and shies away from her life. The show explores the experiences of a small team of such reapers, as well as the changes in George and her family as they deal with George's death. George's death leaves behind her mother ( Cynthia Stevenson) and the rest of her family at a point when her relationships with them were on shaky ground. George soon learns that a reaper's job is to remove the souls of people, preferably just before they die, and escort them until they move on into their afterlife. George dies early in the pilot episode and becomes one of the " undead", a " grim reaper". Įighteen-year-old Georgia "George" Lass ( Ellen Muth) is the show's protagonist and narrator. In the meantime, I'll continue to track news on the show to keep you up to date on all the happenings.Dead Like Me is an American comedy-drama television series starring Ellen Muth and Mandy Patinkin as grim reapers who reside and work in Seattle, Washington. Although there is another show that is months away that might beat it as my favorite 'new show' of the year (just a hint, both shows have a common connection). I hope those who watched enjoyed the show, I think it's one of the best new series of the season. But they are in a greater state of flux as opposed to the already established show (which explains why with the numerous reshoots, I'm not sure what to expect for the first episode of 'Tru Calling). So no matter what the source, it's going to be a bit trickier with the new series determining what is solid spoilage as opposed to that which may change. That woud be a major one, a minor one would be that the victim of the 'Pet Reaper' was originally intended to be a hamster, but ended up being a rabbit.

That's not what happened in the final draft/filming. For example, the character of Charlotte was originally cast as being a potential suicide victim that George saves. While at times it was very accurate, it could also be seen that major and minor changes occurred during the actual filming process. Overall, it was a mixed bag in terms of spoilers for the show. Hopefully, we'll be able to get more information on the show in terms of spoilers as interest increases. Showtime has committed to a second season, and even mentioned during the closing credits that the show will return next year. I know that it recently began airing in the UK, and I wouldn't be surprised if it starts showing up in Canada and even Australia over the next few months. Season One for 'Dead Like Me' has wrapped in the States, so I've updated the Spoiler Page to reflect the entire season (versus only the episodes that have not aired).
